Rain body and bath products all pass through the intense scrutiny of South Africa’s top cosmetic consultant, John Knowlton, who checks for harmful ingredients, dangerous percentages, forbidden ingredients etc. His technical and procedural knowledge is essential to make sure that Rain Spa products comply with and adhere to the exacting compliance standards of both the FDA and the European Union.
His colleague in the United Kingdom, Dr John Hopkins, is then called upon to make sure that all products comply with safety and toxicology standards internationally.

Ubuntu Natural Charter
The oils predominantly used in the production of Rain products are specified in the Ubuntu Natural Charter. This charter, regulated by the Southern African Natural Products Trade Association, guarantees the consistently high quality required for effective cosmetic Formulations and ensures the use of raw material from indigenous African plants that have been sustainably wild-harvested by, and for the benefit of, poor rural people.
